  Israele e Palestina sul palco: Noa e i Radiodervish  L'ultima serata del festival è nel segno della pace
  
      Israele e Palestina, per una sera, convivono in pace. Grazie alla musica che supera i confini con la sua forza inarrestabile e cerca di unire due popoli in conflitto. A chiudere la 14ª edizione del Festival di
  Villa Arconati una cantante israeliana, Noa, e un gruppo, Radiodervish, la cui voce appartiene al palestinese Nabil. Il significato dell'evento va al di là della musica, anche se i suoni e le voci dei protagonisti rappresentano anche l'ennesima testimonianza di quell'affascinante intreccio tra cultura
  orientale e occidentale entrato nel linguaggio della società cosmopolita.

•      Al centro della serata Noa (il cui nome letteralmente significa «portatrice di pace»). All'anagrafe
  Achinoam Nini è nata 33 anni fa in Israele da una famiglia di origini yemenite ma si è trasferita quando aveva solo un anno con la famiglia a New York. «Fino a 17 anni ho vissuto nella Grande Mela in piena sintonia con il mondo occidentale, dove ho studiato e mi sono avvicinata alla musica, attratta da quel
  crocevia di suoni e culture che è sempre stata New York. Ma poi ho scelto di tornare nella mia terra d' origine, spinta soprattutto dalla curiosità di conoscere le mie radici e la mia cultura», racconta Noa che, tornata a Tel Aviv, ha proseguito gli studi musicali e si è integrata con il suo popolo aderendo anche ai doveri del servizio militare: sergente-cantante impegnata in numerosi concerti per l'esercito.
      Jazz e rock americano uniti dal filo di una dolce e intrigante melodia caratterizzano la personalità artistica di Noa il cui primo album del 1991, realizzato assieme a Gil Dor, è una raccolta di classici del repertorio jazz e pop interpretati in lingua ebraica. Il lancio internazionale, quello che la farà scoprire
  anche nel nostro Pae se, arriva con «Noa», del 1993, realizzato negli Stati Uniti, sempre asieme all'amico Gil Dor, con la supervisione di Pat Metheny.

•     Il suo nome circola rapidamente anche se l'impegno per il dialogo israeliano-palestinese è al centro del suo inter esse e la spinge a cercare sempre, oltre al successo personale, la possibilità di promuovere iniziative in questa direzione. Una ulteriore conferma è il prossimo album previsto a settembre con il titolo di «Now»: nel disco la cantante ha previsto di inserire un duetto con l'artista
  palestinese Mira Awad (il brano scelto è dei Beatles: «We can work it out»). Non tutti nel suo Paese condividono le sue scelte coraggiose (ha subito anche un' aggressione), ma lei va a vanti con la forza della sua voce e di canzoni che raccontano soprattutto l'amore e che farà ascoltare sotto le stelle accompagnata da una band di cinque elementi.

•     Prima di Noa, il palco di Villa Arconati ospita i Radiodervish, nati dall'incontro fra l'italiano Michele Lobaccar o e il palestinese Nabil Salameh: con loro sulla scena altri cinque musicisti, una formazione in
  sintonia con il messaggio di Noa, per rafforzare il progetto di pace nel mondo arabo-israeliano.
  I musicisti interagiscono cantando in arabo, italiano, francese e inglese su un tappeto sonoro che va dalla tradizione araba al rock sottoli neando il significato del loro stesso nome che, tradotto dal persiano, vuol dire «visitatori di porte». Elia Perboni

      Israel and Palestine, for one evening, live together in peace.  Thanks to the music, that overcomes the borders with it unstoppable force and tries to join two people in conflict.
  
      An Israeli singer, Noa, and a band, Radiodervish, whose voice is Nabil, a Palestinian singer, will close the 14th edition of the "Villa Arconati" festival in Bollate.  The meaning of the event goes beyond the music, even if the music and the voices of these singers are the evidence of the enchanting weave between east and west culture that's been part of the cosmopolitan language.
  
      Noa (whose name literally means "sister of peace") will be the star of the evening. Achinoam Nini was born 33 years ago in Israel from parents of yemenit origin, but she moved with her family to New York when she was one year old. 
      "Until 17 I have lived in the Big Apple on the same wavelength as western world, where I have studied and where i've approached the music. I felt attracted by that cultural crossroads that always has been New York.  But then I have chosen to come back in my  native land, to know my roots and my culture ", tells Noa that, returned  in Tel Aviv, she has continued her musical studies and has integrated with her people, doing also military service.

      Her musical style is a mix between jazz and rock  Noa combines  with a sweet and intriguing melody.
  Her first album of 1991, realized together with Gil Dor, is a collection  of jazz and pop standards sung in Hebrew (?). The international launching, that will enable her to have success also in Italy, arrives with the album "Noa", in 1993, produced in the United States, always togheter with her friend Gil Dor, with the supervision of Pat Metheny. Her name spreads quickly even if the commitment for the Israeli-Palestinian dialogue is always the centre of her attentions and it leads her to promote, beyond her personal success, these kind of initiatives.
      A further confirmation of that is her next album "NOW", that is going to be released in september, in which Noa has included a duet with the Palestinian singer Mira Awad (the song is the Beatles cover "We can work it out"). In Israel they don't all agree with her brave choices.But she goes ahead with the power of her voice and with her songs, songs that tell us about love.
      Before Noa, on the stage of Villa Arconati there will be Radiodervish, a band born with the meeting between Michele Labaccaro and the Palestinian singer Nabil Salameh: with them there will be five
  musicians on the stage.Radiodervish are on the same wavelength of Noa messagge, to strengthen
  the peace proposals in the Middle-East The musicians interact singing in Arab, Italian, French and English on a  sonorous carpet that goes from the Arabic tradition to rock.
