La cantante israelí subraya la importancia de la visita para la paz / The Israeli singer underlines the importance of the visit for peace.


Tel Aviv, 22-03-2000.-  "Esta visita es una gran oportunidad de paz para todos". Son palabras de Noa, la cantante israelí de música popular más famosa del mundo. "Un Papa que ha pedido perdón por el dolor provocado a los judíos ha hecho un acto de valentía que alimenta la esperanza de quien cree en un mundo mejor", añade. "This visit is a great opportunity of peace for all." These are Noa's  words, Israel's most famous pop singer. "A Pope that beg pardon for the pain provoked to the Jews has made an act of courage that feeds the hope of who believes in a better world", she adds.
Las palabras de esta preciosa mujer de 30 años, de origen yemenita, no son retóricas. Ha experimentado de manera brutal el drama de la violencia.     Noa, su auténtico nombre es Achinoam Nini (que significa "Hermana de la Paz" "Sister of Peace") cumplió su servicio militar en Israel cantando y animando en las fiestas del ejército. Fue ahí precisamente donde descubrió su pasión por la música. La guerra siempre había tenido hasta entonces un carácter algo romántico. El asesinato del primer ministro, reconoce, rompió su "inocencia". Noa, her real name is Achinoam Nini (that  means "Sister of Peace"), has completed her military service in Israel singing and encouraging in the parties of the army.
