WHAT'S NEW: SHALOM SHALOM & BABEL

Noa publica en España el album: "Noa Gold" (Universal 2003).  Se trata de una excelente selección de algunas de las mejores canciones de sus discos publicados en España: "Noa" (1994), "Calling"(1996), "Blue touches blue"(2000) y "Now"(2002) y hasta la fecha lleva vendidos, en nuestro país, más de 200.000 copias. En "NOA GOLD", encontraremos, 2  temas inéditos "Babel" y "Shalom, Shalom",  éxitos en castellano como "Uno queriendo ser dos" y "Otra vez", duetos con Joan M. Serrat, Carlos Núñez y Miguel Bosé.

Desde hace 9 años, casi 10, mantengo una relación amorosa secreta... un amor apasionado, maravilloso, con... vuestro precioso país. Como en cualquier idilio, hay muchas cosas que van más allá de la razón... realmente trabajo con el corazón, no con la cabeza. Soy una chica israelí, con orígenes yemenitas y educación americana... a primera vista puede parecer que no hay ningún tipo de conexión entre este país y yo, pero cada vez que vuelvo, siento como si siempre hubiera estado ahí, y mi alma salta, baila y sonríe y no se quiere marchar.

He conectado con el paisaje, sus montañas y desiertos, sus ciudades antiguas y sus pueblecitos, el verdor de sus campos interminables, el maravilloso mar. He disfrutado de su enriquecedora cultura, de los colores y los olores, de las tradiciones y fiestas, de muchas idiosincrasias encantadoras, de diferentes historias, la fabulosa música. He visitado museos y bares de tapas, subido calles pequeñas y bajado bulevares enormes, viajado a través de carreteras sucias y he alzado mi voz en las bóvedas acústicas de catedrales impresionantes. E incluso he podido observar, con prudencia y compasión, el sufrimiento.

He hecho todo esto y mucho más, pero nada es comparable a la dulce y cálida acogida de la gente que he ido encontrado por el camino. Desde los extraordinarios artistas, con los que he tenido el placer de trabajar, a los buenos amigos que he hecho en la industria musical, a los muchos, muchísimos fans y amigos que he conocido durante las giras y los viajes que he realizado a través tuyo, mi querida España.

Me gustaría daros las gracias por todo ello, por enriquecer mi vida y hacerla más bella, por escuchar las letras y la música y acogerlas como si fueran vuestras, por darme fuerzas y apoyarme, por aceptarme, por acoger mi mano en las vuestras. Nada me gustaría más que continuar con nuestro amor durante muchos años más.

It has been 9 years now, almost 10, that I have been having a secret love affair... a passionate, wonderful, mysterious love affair, with... your beautiful country. Like everyone love affair, there are many things about this one that are beyond rationale... it really my heart at work, not my head. I am an israeli girl,with yemenite origins and an american upbringing... on the surface, there seems to be no conection between me and this place, yet every time I come here I feel as i I've always been here, and my soul jumps and dances and smiles and doesn't want to leave.

I have connected to the landscape,its mountain and deserts,its ancient cities and small villages, the endless green, the brilliant sea. I have rejoiced in the rich culture,the colours and smells,the traditions and the ceremonies, the many lovely idiosyncrasies, the different stories, the fabulous music. I have walked through museums and tapas bars, up small streets and down huge boulevards, travelled long dirty roads through no-where, and thrown my voice into the echo chambers fo so many awe-inspiring cathedrals. I have even cautiously, and compassionately,peeked through the keyhole of pain.

I have done all this and so much more, but nothing can compare to the sweet,warm embrace of the people I have met along the way,from the many extraordinary artists I have the pleasure of working with, to the good friends I've made in the music industry, to the many many fans and friends I've met while touring and travelling through you, my lovely Spain.


I would like to Thank You for all this, for making my life so much richer and more beautiful, for listening to the lyrics and the music and embracing them as your own, for encouraging and supporting, for accepting, for taking my hand in yours. I would like nothing more than to continue our love affair for many years to come.

Babel, el primer single extraído de su album de grandes éxitos 
 NOA GOLD.

     Noa  nos presenta "Babel" como el primer single de su álbum de grandes éxitos "Noa Gold", esta canción está compuesta por ella y su guitarrista Gil Dor y adaptada al castellano por Nuria y Raquel Díaz (Maldeamores):

 "Escribimos el tema "babel" para una película francesa con el mismo nombre, escrita y dirigida por nuestro amigo Gerard Pullicino. Esta maravillosa película estaba dirigida a los niños y utilizaba la bíblica historia de la torre de babel como base e inspiración para realizar una película moderna con un bonito mensaje, al estilo de Spielberg. La letra  habla del derribo de fronteras y el refuerzo de la comunicación a través del amor, compasión y música sea cual sea el idioma".

Pero no es Babel la única primicia que incluye NOA GOLD, encontramos aquí editada su canción inédita más reciente, un canto a la paz, con una letra fantástica, un mensaje realmente esperanzador: Shalom, Shalom.
